On September 18, 1970, the American the rock, blues, and jazz legend Jimi Hendrix (born on November 27, 1942) died in London, at the age of 27 .
The circumstances surrounding the death of this musician, one of the most influential guitarists of the 1960s, remain unclear.
Some conspiracy theorists contend that his death was the result of a government conspiracy involving his girlfriend Monika Dannemann., a German figure skater and artist. Other more reasonable explanations include that Hendrix committed suicide, or that he simply aspirated his own vomit and died of asphyxia while intoxicated with barbiturates
However Jimi Hendrix died, it does not change the fact that he was a tortured soul and one of the most influential and revered individuals in the history of American music.
