17 May 1510: Sandro Botticelli’s death

Today we remember the death of one of our greatest artists, Sandro Botticelli, who died on 17 May 1510,  in Florence

Alessandro di Mariano di Vanni Filipepi, best known by his nickname Sandro Botticelli, was a very important Italian painter of the Early Renaissance.
