Livia Drusilla (30 January 58 BC – 28 September 29 AD) was the third wife of the Roman Emperor Augustus, mother of emperor Tiberius, grandmother of emperor Claudius, great-grandmother of emperor Caligula, and great-great-grandmother of emperor Nero.
She was deified by Claudius who acknowledged her title of Augusta.
She was depicted in imperial propaganda as the embodiment of womanliness and dedication, while her enemies considered her a ruthless seeker of power.
I don’t know much about her, but I hope you’ll tell us more. She sounds super interesting!

I’m going to post more information, and a short story I’ve written on her (in Italian) ❤

Maybe English, too? 🙂

I wrote it in Italian, the only language I use when writing poetry or fiction, since it is my mother tongue, but if the translator I’ve put on my site doesn’t work, I’ll try & translate il 🙂

Qualcosa ricordo.

When I studied Latin at school, we did not hear much about Roman women. Only the Emperors were important in the school books. It is time to start studying the history of women, too.
