“September of My Years” was introduced by Frank Sinatra as the title track of his 1965 album of the same name. He was to turn 50 years old in December 1965, and the release of this album marked a surge of popularity in his music

* HELP!:  I had a problem with the translation of the verb “near“:

1. if it is transitive, the speaker means that he is approaching the “september” of his life
2. if it is intransitive, he is  approaching the children or his old love, and the following line is just the refrain.
