“All I Want for Christmas Is You”🌟

                             🌟MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!🌟

I don’t want a lot for Christmas
There is just one thing I need
And I don’t care about the presents
Underneath the Christmas tree

I don’t need to hang my stocking
There upon the fireplace
Santa Claus won’t make me happy
With a toy on Christmas Day

I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true
All I want for Christmas
Is you
You, baby

Oh, I won’t ask for much this Christmas
I won’t even wish for snow
And I’m just gonna keep on waiting
Underneath the mistletoe

I won’t make a list and send it
To the North Pole for Saint Nick
I won’t even stay awake to
Hear those magic reindeer click

‘Cause I just want you here tonight
Holding on to me so tight
What more can I do?
Cause baby all I want for Christmas is you
You

Oh-ho, all the lights are shining
So brightly everywhere
And the sound of children
Laughter fills the air

And everyone is singing
I hear those sleigh bells ringing
Santa won’t you bring me the one I really need?
Won’t you please bring my baby to me?
Yeah

Oh, I don’t want a lot for Christmas
This is all I’m asking for
I just wanna see my baby
Standing right outside my door

Oh, I just want you for my own
For my own
Baby
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true

Baby all I want for Christmas is
You baby
All I want for Christmas is you baby
All I want for Christmas is you baby
All I want for Christmas is you baby

“All I Want for Christmas Is You” is a Christmas song performed by American singer and songwriter Mariah Carey in 1994.
It followed the success of her 1993 album Music Box, but her desire of doing a Christmas-themed album with her writing partner was considered a bad idea. It did not seem wise for artists to release holiday music at the peak of their careers (it was more frequent towards the end of a musician’s fading career)
Carey began decorating her house with Christmas ornaments and other holiday-inspired trinkets, in order to capture the essence and spirit of what she wanted to sing.
This song became part of a 12-song album: it was not released as a single because her label mustn’t have been particularly impressed with it,
Carey said: “I’m a very festive person and I love the holidays. I’ve sung Christmas songs since I was a little girl. I used to go Christmas caroling. … When it came to the album, we had to have a nice balance between standard Christian hymns and fun songs. It was definitely a priority for me to write at least a few new songs, but for the most part, people really want to hear the standards at Christmastime, no matter how good a new song is.”

The song, referred to as “the biggest Christmas song of all time”, continues to chart every holiday season since its original release. In December 2017, the song peaked at number nine on the Billboard Hot 100, making it the first holiday song to enter Hot 100’s top ten since a cover of “Auld Lang Syne” in January 2000. Its immense popularity has earned Mariah the title of “Queen of Christmas” .
Carey has performed “All I Want for Christmas Is You” during numerous live television appearances and tours throughout her career.

It is a timeless classic composed with pop, soul, R&B, gospel, dance-pop and rhythmic contemporary influences, and introduces some seasonal signifiers such as chimes, sleigh bells, and a rhythmic beat that sounds like the loping pace of a horse or reindeer. There are also other Christmas clichés including  Santa, stockings,  the  list ( of what people  want),  the North Pole. and mistletoe (during the Christmas Holiday it is a tradition to kiss under the mistletoe, a seemingly magical plant). Another standard tradition is to display Christmas lights outside one’s home, a practice that, according  to author Antonia Felix,  started with early German Christians, and originally represented Jesus:
“German families brought a small tree into the home at Christmas time as a symbol of the Christ child, and decorated the boughs with cutout paper flowers, bright foil, apples, sweets, and other fancy treats. Another feature of Christmas that took a uniquely American turn in the nineteenth century is the tradition of Christmas lights. Candles were traditionally placed on the Christmas tree to symbolize Jesus as the light of the world.”
While present-day celebrations have become a period of material excess, of consumerism and some people seem concentrated solely on buying and receiving things, this song is focused on its real meaning: giving and receiving joy, love and getting to be with a loved one: you, not a specific person, but everybody (a father, a mother, a child, a partner, a friend).

Voglio solo te, tutto per me
più di quanto tu non possa mai sapere,
fa’ che il mio desiderio si avveri.
Tutto quello che voglio per Natale sei tu,
tu tesoro

Non chiederò molto questo Natale
non desidero neanche la neve
continuerò soltanto ad aspettare
sotto al vischio

Non farò una lista da spedire
al Polo Nord a Babbo Natale
non starò neanche sveglia per
ascoltare i magici schiocchi delle renne

Perché voglio che tu sia qui stasera
aggrappato a me, stretto stretto.

Voglio solo te, tutto per me, tesoro,
più di quanto tu non possa mai sapere,
fa’ che il mio desiderio si avveri.
tesoro, tutto quello che voglio per Natale sei tu
Tutto quello che voglio per Natale sei tu tesoro
