Il tuffatore/The Diver

4285 Nino Migliori tuffatore

In the Archaeological Museum of Paestum, in the room adjacent to the one in which we can admire “The Tomb of the Diver”, there is this beautiful photo.

Its title is “The Diver” (from Nino Migliori Archive – Bologna): it was taken by Nino Migliori in 1951, seventeen years before the discovery of the famous tomb.

  1. Telescoping through time! There is also “Il Tuffatore” cantate by French composer Laurent Martin (1995). Furthermore, one opportunity to celebrate the beauty of Italian language: Tuffatore is so expressive and explicit compared with “diver”…
