🎢 Remember Song πŸŽΆ

Heartily recommended to people of my ageπŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰

I’m looking for my wallet and car keys
…Well they can’t have gone too far
Just as soon as I find my glasses
…I’m sure I’ll see just where they are.

Supposed to meet someone for lunch today,
…but I can’t remember where.
or who it is that I am meeting
…it’s in my organizer some-where.

I might have left it on the counter,
maybe outside in the car
The last time I remember driving,
was to that memory enhancement seminar.

What’s that far off distant ringing,
And that strangely familiar tone?
Must be the person I am meeting,
calling me on my brand new cordless telephone.

I might have left it under the covers,
maybe outside on the lawn
and I’ve got just one more ring to go,
before my answering machine kicks on.

Hi, this is Tom and your call means a lot to me,
so leave a message at the tone…
and I’ll do my best to try to remember
to call you back when I get home

*Beep*

Tom, this is Gwendolyn,
and I’m trying not to cry.
but I’ve been waiting here for over an hour,
I thought you loved me, this is goodbye.

Well… the voice sounds familiar,
…, and the name it rings a bell.
Let’s see now, where was I,
…Oh well.

Tom Rush (born on February 8, 1941) is an American folk and blues singer, songwriter and musician

Sto cercando il portafoglio e le chiavi della macchina
… Beh, non possono essere andati troppo lontano
Appena trovo gli occhiali
… sono sicuro che vedrΓ² dove sono.

Dovevo incontrare qualcuno a pranzo oggi,
… ma non ricordo dove.
o chi Γ¨ che dovevo incontrare
… Γ¨ rimasto nella mia agenda, da qualche parte.

Potrei averla lasciata sul bancone,
o forse fuori in macchina
L’ultima volta che ricordo di aver guidato
Γ¨ stato a quel seminario sul miglioramento della memoria.

Cos’Γ¨ quel suono cosΓ¬ lontano,
quel tono stranamente familiare?

* Beep *

Vediamo ora, dov’ero?
…Oh bene.

  1. I love this and it is us. Since the legs don’t like to walk too far and the fingers are not too good at picking things up, the mind could at least do its part to help the rest of the body out. I usually go back for unless there are stairs involved, then it had better be very important.

    1. I thank you for your decision to nominate me, and I am really honoured by this. I’d love to participate but I prefer to use my blog time to visit my friends’ blogs and comment on their wonderful posts.
I also feel that their valued comments, their words of supports, their appreciations are my awards.
I am confident that you will not feel offended by my declining and I thank you once more.

      1. No issues dear, it’s nothing about feeling offended. Nomination is just a way of showing or expressing the feeling that you are a great blogger. It’s your own choice to accept it or not. But, I must say your content is wonderful
