Santayana

George Santayana (born in Madrid on 16 December 1863) was a Spanish-American philosopher, famous for his aphorisms, such as:

“Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”
“There is no cure for birth and death save to enjoy the interval.”

“Quelli che non sanno ricordare il passato sono condannati a ripeterlo.”
“Non v’è alcun rimedio alla nascita e alla morte se non godersi l’intervallo.”
