Passing Years

I thank God for giving me another birthday
and for all the people who remembered me yesterday

I thank for all the experience of this past year;
for the times of joy, of sorrow and also of fear

But what I am today
wouldn’t be the same in any other way

I’ve added a few more pages to my folder
and now, my friends, I am another year older

Ringrazio Dio perché un altro compleanno mi ha donato
e ringrazio chi con me l’ha festeggiato

Ringrazio per quest’altro tratto di vita
anche se spesso è stato in salita

ma quella che oggi sono diventata
è il frutto di tutta la mia vita passata

e pure di quest’altra pagina aggiunta alla mia avventura
che ora, amici miei, mi vede di un anno più matura
