VIVE PROTESTE
Buongiorno, come procede?
1
“Bellissimo il cielo, non trovi?”
Le disse lui, scorrendo lento
Il volto sotto il cespuglio di rovi
Rossicci e purpurei fin sotto il mento.
“Si senton sole le stelle?”
Gli chiese lei con gli occhi perduti
Nel buio dipinto vicino quelle
Luci fumose e, intorno, solo piccole nubi.
“Son i soli che si sentono stelle;
E noi che vorremmo esser soli…”
“Vuoi essere sole con me?”
“Voglio essere solo con te.”
2
Egli si levò con un verso e si rimise composto;
Luisella – Tra Italia e Finlandia
Per essere evidente e’ evidente,
il tempo in questi giorni e’ indisponente:
umido, uggioso e pur fetente.
Biagina – parole e basta
Mi cimento?
per dire che odio il cemento!
Dio non lo creò,
fu l’uomo intelligente,
tutto divenne duro e informe
e il cuore perse il tempo.
non c’è ritorno e
non esiste pentimento.
un gioiello distrutto
è perso per sempre.
un fiore
un uccello
un torrente
un insetto
Francesca – FA minore
The linguistic game proposed this week is a Lipogram, a text that purposefully excludes a particular letter of the alphabet. Today the letter that must never appear is A as in April.
Here’s my example
It is possible to write full texts without this vowel, the first letter, which in my opinion is not the most common nor the most needed. There will be numerous words without this letter, not just one, but two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen, twenty, twenty-one, twenty-two, twenty-three, twenty-four, twenty-five, twenty-six, twenty-seven, twenty-eight, twenty-nine, thirty, etc.
You will need some brief reflection, some rewriting, but it’s highly possible to construct quite lengthy, complex sentences which do not include the forbidden vowel
If you want to play, send texts in your own language: they will be shown here⤵️
Arbind – ARBIND KUMAR BLOG
World is the unique house for the God-loving people . Jesus Christ once lived in it . It is in this world, Demons used to live once . But by now men & women , like Jesus Christ , live in it . They drink & merry here . Fruits they most love — cherry & berry .
Pat – e-Quips
Every word involves the pesky letter which must be kept unseen. LZ’s superior job shows strong results but I continue to struggle with this exercise. Much effort required.
wow
I thought it impossible until
I went through your words
now struggling with just these few sentences
needing to plus or minus words to work out
this forbidden vowel…
wonderful theme some difficult too
still interesting to tempt this try
hoping some sort of sense flows between these lines….
Allan – Picture This
Here comes spring, so full of promise, yet soft snow still lingers beside the glistening wet streets. Soon, bright blooms will show up with the month’s soft showers, bringing life to the countryside. The long, cold winter will be soon forgotten when the fourth month breezes gently blow the cold out of our memories until next winter.
Mary – Midwest Mary
This is fun, My Friend. Your intro is very cute. I see the difficulty even writing this simple response.
Monica – Spark of Inspiration
Women shopping for jewels in London were then robbed in their hotel room.
The robbers were experienced. They wore hoods to cover themselves. There were four of them. They climbed out the window, then zip lined to the next building, where two helicopters were hovering with open doors to pull the robbers in, so they could flee. Their loot – $20 million. First stop Mexico…
Priscilla – The Well Read Fish – sent a short paragraph about a little girl named Penelope who lives in Alaska:
Penelope trekked on. There were four more houses until she needed to turn left onto her street. It felt gloomy here with high spruce, mossy ditches. There were musty smells in the ferns, in the blueberry bushes. She forever dodged the blueberries since moose liked to bed down in the younger, softer brush. They liked to chew the tender tips off the shoots.
Michele – My Inspired Life
The letter you’ve offered, defined forbidden, is included not once but three times, in my only child’s given identity, reducing hello to her, to the sound smnth.

Beautiful, with a marked note of optimism for a better season than its beginning. Thank you for your valuable text
PS: Happy Tuesday to you too! Today it stopped raining and a warm sun is shining. But the streets are still full of puddles and the grass in my little lawn is still all wet
